Clark to Screen O Horizon Sept. 29
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Clark Art Institute will screen O Horizon at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 29, the first presentation in its five-part Film and Art series which runs from September to November. Alena Williams, assistant professor of Art at Williams College, introduces O Horizon prior to its showing. The free screening is open to the public and takes place in the Clark’s auditorium. O Horizon (2018, 90 minutes) is an experimental documentary that explores the environmental teachings of prolific Bengali writer and poet Rabindranath Tagore....
Adams' Mausert Block Filling Space with Local Art
ADAMS, Mass. — Nearly 30 people gathered outside of the Mausert Block apartments on Thursday, as the owners unveiled the first of more than 30 commissioned local art pieces to be displayed in the building.   Mausert Block owners Holly and Stephen Stenson said the artworks, as part of the building's "Maus-ART" program, will be on display once the project is complete. The work, done with help from the Adams Arts Advisory Board, will be put in the building's common spaces for residents to see.   "We have 31 pieces of art, and this is one," Stephen Stenson said....
Ventfort Hall to Host Talk on Tiffany Jewelry Sept. 10
LENOX, Mass. – Historian, retired Professor of Art and former Board Member Julie Agar will highlight Tiffany’s career and her family’s association with Tiffany during her presentation at Ventfort Hall on Saturday, September 10 at 3:30 pm. A tea will follow her presentation. Agar will trace the history and development of Tiffany’s jewelry store from its founding in 1837 as a stationary and notions store. Emphasis will be placed on the expansion of selling Bohemian glass, porcelain, stained glass and jewelry of a quality and beauty far above any of its competition....
Guild of Berkshire Artists Holds Exhibit in its First Brick-and-Mortar Building
WEST STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. — The Guild of Berkshire Artists has leased its first brick-and-mortar building for the next year to provide artists with the opportunity to curate a show and present their work while also contributing to the vibrancy of downtown West Stockbridge.    In the past, the guild would rent out spaces from organizations to host group shows. This new space, located at 38 Main St., makes it easier for artists to receive feedback on their work due to there being fewer artists apart of the exhibit....

Ghost Tours Return at Ventfort Hall Sept. 3
LENOX, Mass. — Join Ventfort Hall as Robert Oakes, author of Ghosts of the Berkshires, returns in September and throughout the fall to lead guests through the rooms and halls of the estate sharing tales of its hauntings. Stand in the places where the encounters occurred, listen to the first-hand accounts of those who experienced them, and maybe even experience something unusual yourself. Images Cinema Names Next Executive Director
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Dan Hudson is bringing his passion for arthouse cinemas to Spring Street. "One thing I've been very vocal about in the exhibition community is these films need to be in theaters," Hudson said this week. "If you're a filmmaker, you're not making something so people can only watch it on a screen at home or on their mobile device. You want it on a big screen and watched in community. Clark Host Concerts For Labor Day

Clark Art's Lunder Center to Host Local Musicians
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Moltz Terrace of the Clark Art Institute’s Lunder Center is the site of new concerts presented by local musicians and two performances this month will kick off the new program.  On Friday, Aug. 19, indie pop artist Ciarra Fragale, currently based in North Adams, Massachusetts performs.
