North Adams Library Hosting Home Movie Showings
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The North Adams Public Library will host a Home Movie Day on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 7 to 10 p.m.   Home Movie Day is an annual celebration of the historical and cultural value of amateur film. Screenings are held in communities throughout the world, and residents are encouraged to bring their films to share.   Participants may show up at 7 p.m. with their films. Adams Fall Run Returns For the Second Year

Clark Art to Screen "Summer of Soul" Documentary
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — On Wednesday, Sept. 14, the Clark Art Institute partners with Images Cinema to screen Summer of Soul, the Oscar-winning documentary about the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival. The film will be shown outdoors near the Clark’s Reflecting Pool at dusk, around 7:30 p.m. Over the course of six weeks in the summer of 1969, just one hundred miles south of Woodstock, the Harlem Cultural Festival was filmed in Mount Morris Park (now Marcus Garvey Park). Adams' Mausert Block Filling Space with Local Art
ADAMS, Mass. — Nearly 30 people gathered outside of the Mausert Block apartments on Thursday, as the owners unveiled the first of more than 30 commissioned local art pieces to be displayed in the building.   Mausert Block owners Holly and Stephen Stenson said the artworks, as part of the building's "Maus-ART" program, will be on display once the project is complete. The work, done with help from the Adams Arts Advisory Board, will be put in the building's common spaces for residents to see.   "We have 31 pieces of art, and this is one," Stephen Stenson said....

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Dan Hudson is bringing his passion for arthouse cinemas to Spring Street. "One thing I've been very vocal about in the exhibition community is these films need to be in theaters," Hudson said this week.
