11th Cheshire Block Party Set for Saturday, July 23
CHESHIRE, Mass. — The Cheshire Community Association is hosting its 11th Cheshire Block Party from 5  to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, at Town Hall Center.  "With the great music and food we've assembled this year, I imagine we'll equal or surpass last year's turnout," said John Tremblay, president of the association.  The party is free and open to the public and will play host to a raffle, live music, food and refreshments....

Williams College Museum of Art Summer Program Series 'Immersions'
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Williams College Museum of Art (WCMA) invites visitors to immerse themselves in a summer program series titled Immersions.  Each program is inspired by the themes, histories, and practices that weave through the museum's summer exhibitions, such as healing, folklore, the five senses, and migration.  Programs will be held at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by receptions on the WCMA patio at 6:30 p.m. The galleries will remain open until 8 p.m. The series opens on Thursday, July 7, at 5:30 p.m....
'A Sense of Place' Opening at Real Eyes Gallery
ADAMS, Mass. — Local artists Debi Pendell, Diane Sawyer, Sarah Sutro and Betty Vera created artwork for the exhibit "A Sense of Place" to raise money to help those impacted by homelessness. The pieces created by members of North Adams Contemporary will be on display June 4 from 5-7 during an opening reception at RealEyes Gallery on 71 Park St. According to a press release: "A Sense of Place" suggests a feeling of belonging: to a household, a neighborhood, a town....
Field Farm Sculptures 'Witnesses' to Land's History
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Twelve cast-concrete figures loom over the meadows at Field Farm, their haunting gaze challenging the onlooker to consider the generations of marginalized people and cultures who had their voices silenced by colonization.  Artist Rose B. Simpson said the statues act as witnesses and a reminder of the land's history. The hollow eyes are watching everything from the air, wind, and sky. Artist Rose B. Local Gallery, Artists Support Louison House
ADAMS, Mass. — An exhibition at the Real Eyes Gallery has raised several thousand dollars for Louison House to help those affected by homelessness. "A Sense of Place" opened on June 4 and concluded on Thursday but the pieces will be live and available on the gallery's website for another month. Fifty percent of all artwork sales go to the non-profit organization. Real Eyes Gallery owners Bill and Francie Riley opened their doors to host the exhibition....
Clark Art Features 'Rodin in the United States'
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — One of the largest exhibits of the works of Auguste Rodin seen in the United States in the past 40 years is now on view at the Clark Art Institute.  The exhibit consists of 50 sculptures and 25 drawings from American museums and private collections that collectively demonstrate the story of the collectors, agents, art historians, and critics who worked to make Rodin known in America.  Although there have been many exhibits on Rodin, less attention has been directed to toward the French modernist's legacy in the United States....
Faerie Festival 2022
